Late Arrivals, Cancellations, and No Show Policy
We try our very best to schedule appropriately so we can provide care when our patients need it. Depending on the time of year, this may mean we have a number of pet owners waiting for an earlier appointment slot.
Appointments
Late Arrivals
Arriving late for your appointment puts extra pressure on our team, and may cause us to run late for our other scheduled appointments.
Clients who arrive on time for their appointments are always given priority over clients who arrive late. If you are late, this may mean that your appointment will take longer than normal, or may need to be rescheduled.
We request that you call the clinic as soon as you know you will be late for your appointment. Depending on the other appointments and how late you will be, we may be able to accommodate you, or we may need to reschedule your appointment. Clients who are more than 10 minutes late for their scheduled appointment and do not call ahead will be considered a No Show.
Cancellations
We understand your schedule may change, or your pet’s condition may change, causing you to cancel your appointment. You may call during business hours, or leave a voicemail or email while we are closed to cancel your appointment:
We require 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. Less than 24 hours notice will be considered a No Show and a cancellation fee may apply.
No shows
When pet owners do not show for their appointments, it creates an empty appointment slot in our day, and prevents our team from providing care to another pet who needs it.
Clients will be considered a No Show if they:
arrive more than 10 minutes after their scheduled appointment without calling ahead;
cancel their appointment after the above listed notice period; or
do not show for their appointment.
After the first No Show, clients will be informed of our policy.
After the second No Show, a cancellation fee of $60 will be charged.
If a client does not show for three appointments within a 6 month period, they may be asked to find another veterinary clinic to provide services for their pet.
Surgeries and Dental Procedures
A deposit of $200 is required when scheduling a surgery or dental procedure, and will be refunded if you cancel more than 7 days prior to your appointment. If you cancel within 7 days of your appointment, the deposit will NOT be refunded.
Ultrasound Appointments
A deposit of $200 is required when scheduling an ultrasound, and will be refunded if you cancel more than 7 days prior to your appointment. If you cancel within 7 days of your appointment, the deposit will NOT be refunded.
Unforeseen Circumstances
We know there may be circumstances that impact your schedule beyond your control. We simply ask for communication so we may better help you. If you have a special circumstance, please call to speak with us. We are here to help!
