Our Services
Puppy and Kitten Care
Congratulations on your new addition!
Puppies and kittens are a lot of hard work, and full of cuddles and love. We want to make sure your new family member is healthy and protected. We are here to answer all the questions you have!
We will take the time to discuss the vaccinations and parasite control available, and work with you to decide what is best for you and your family.
We will also help you sort out which food is most appropriate, and how much you should be feeding to encourage appropriate weight gain.
We will make a plan for spaying or neutering your little one when they are old enough, and answer any questions you may have about this procedure.
We want to make sure your new family member enjoys coming to visit us throughout their life, so pop by any time for some treats and cuddles!
Adult Wellness and Preventative Care
Let’s continue to help your pet stay healthy and protected throughout their adult years.
During annual preventative care visits, we will complete a comprehensive physical exam, including assessments of dental health, pain, and muscle conditioning.
We will also learn about your pet’s lifestyle, including nutrition and behaviour.
Putting all of this information together, we will make a plan with you to ensure your pet is protected and healthy. This may include vaccines, parasite prevention, dental care, nutrition or behaviour advice, and addressing any medical conditions that may arise.
Senior and Geriatric Care
Caring for your loved ones through their Golden Years.
Did you know most pets are considered senior at 7 years of age? This, of course, varies by breed, but at 7 years old, cats and dogs are the equivalent of 50 human years.
Thanks to better medical care, pets are living longer than ever before, but as pets get older, they need extra care and attention. That is why we see our older patients at least twice a year. This allows us to work with you to catch changes in their health early, including changes in behaviour, activity, and internal organ function.
Dental Care
According to the American Veterinary Dental Society, more than 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have some form of dental disease by age three.
Each time your pet visits our clinic, we will assess your pet’s dental health.
The best thing you can do at home is to brush your pet’s teeth daily. Start at an early age and use pet-safe products. But we know how difficult this can be, especially if you adopt an older pet.
Even if you are diligent in providing dental care at home, odds are your pet will need regular dental cleanings throughout their lifetime. Give us a call today to learn more about our dental care services.
Surgery
Whether your pet needs to be spayed or neutered, they need a lump removed, or have a more serious condition, we have all the tools we need to provide routine surgeries in our clinic.
We have a patient monitor, allowing us to monitor your pet’s vitals, such as blood pressure, oxygenation level, respiratory and pulse rates, and temperature. We also have patient warming devices to ensure your pet is comfortable before, during, and after the procedure.
Our registered veterinary techicians have attended a certified school, passed examinations, and continually attending education seminars. They are highly skilled and administer all of our anesthesias, with direction from our veterinarians.
If your pet needs more advanced care, we will refer you to a Board Certified Surgeon for the best care available.
Travel Documentation
Whether you are travelling across Canada, or across the world, we can help with the documentation and services that may be required.
Many countries have very detailed and specific requirements, including vaccines, testing, and parasite treatment, and these requirements can change frequently.
